Welcome to The Institute for Worship Studies Florida Campus, founded by Dr. Robert E. Webber, well-known author and teacher in the field of Christian worship. This site presents information about the Doctor of Worship Studies (D.W.S.) and Masters of Worship Studies (M.W.S.) degree programs offered by The Institute. Below are some of the highlights of the D.W.S. and M.W.S. degrees. The table of contents at left takes you to other pages relating to various aspects of the program.

  • Designed for qualified church musicians, worship leaders, and pastors seeking a doctorate or masters in the general field of Christian worship
  • Authorized under the State Board of Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida (read the Statement on Authorization, Accreditation and Standards)
  • Entrance requirements: master's degree or equivalent for the D.W.S. program and a bachelor's degree for the M.W.S. program (see admission requirements)
  • Involves at least two years of course work followed by a practical worship project (see curriculum)
  • Courses offered in one-week sessions in January and June each year
  • All courses taught at the I.W.S. campus in Orange Park, near Jacksonville, and completed via distance education avenues including e-mail and the Internet.
